Honest limits — read first
- These are keyword drafts, not keyword research. The tool combines your seed with common modifiers; it has no search-volume, competition or CPC data. Validate every term in your ad platform's keyword planner.
- Manual utm_term is redundant when auto-tagging is on. If your Google Ads and Analytics accounts are linked with auto-tagging enabled, keyword data flows automatically — manual terms are for edge cases and non-Google platforms.
- Terms do not improve ad performance by themselves. Tagging tells you which keyword drove the click; it does not lower CPC or raise Quality Score. Bidding, relevance and landing pages do that.
- Good uses: drafting tag values before a campaign build, teaching UTM parameters, standardizing term formatting across an account.
HOW THE MACHINE WORKS
Seed in. Keyword variations out. No account, no API, no paper trail.
Drop your seed
Type the core keyword — your product, category or head term. The generator builds every variation around it, lowercased and cleaned for URL safety.
Pick intent + format
Choose one of six intent categories and a word separator (+, - or _). Modifiers are shuffled with crypto.getRandomValues() so every run surfaces a fresh mix.
Tag and ship
Each term ships inside a full sample URL (utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=...). Click to copy singles, copy all for the build sheet, or download the .txt.

QUICK ANSWERS
What is utm_term used for? +
utm_term records the paid-search keyword that triggered an ad click. It is the only UTM parameter built specifically for keyword-level tracking. Full guide.
Do I need utm_term if auto-tagging is on? +
Usually not. With Google Ads auto-tagging linked to Analytics, keyword data flows automatically. Manual utm_term is for non-Google platforms, edge cases, or deliberate overrides.
What is the difference between utm_term and utm_content? +
utm_term = which keyword (paid search). utm_content = which creative or link variant (A/B tests, placements). Comparison guide.
Should spaces in utm_term be + or - or _? +
All three work if you stay consistent. + is the classic form (it is how spaces encode in query strings); - reads best; _ matches many databases. Pick one per account.
Is TermTag really free and private? +
Yes. Plain JavaScript in your browser, crypto.getRandomValues() shuffling, no network calls, no cookies, no storage. Privacy policy.
